Most Popular Mobile Games Of 2021

2021 may have been a rollercoaster of a year, but that didn’t stop some great mobile games coming out. The mobile gaming market is an interesting one for the gaming sphere as a whole, as many gamers often have mobile as a secondary platform to their main console or computer. 1. Roblox
  2. Candy Crush Saga

  7. Genshin Impact

Android Top 7

The android climate favours developers as android has the ability to install applications from third parties, bypassing the similar 30% fee charged by Google Play Services. The Gaming Take Away

Interestingly, there are three items to take note of here.

Similarities – While the orders are different between the platforms, we can see that the majority of games on either top seven is the same. Developers seem to be trying to make the best of the markets, as well as players tending to enjoy similar games on both platforms. A good game remains a good game no matter the platform you are on.

Age – While there are some newcomers, like the awesome Genshin Impact, a lot of the games on the list were released before the start of 2021. Roblox for example was released in 2006 for PC and 2014 for Android. For it to still be on the top 10 today is an incredible achievement.

Trends – Not all big games can weather the storm and stay perennially popular like those at Recently, Fortnite topped the charts, but this year could not even make the top 50. Some games fall out of popularity quicker than others, and Fortnite was unfortunately one of them.
