An Overview of E3 2017
E3, the world biggest electronic entertainment expo, is here again, and gamers, tech junkies, and games journalists alike are already gathering around to watch events unfold. As always, there are a number of big names set to deliver news and information, including all the biggest triple A game developers, and big name independent developers.
Key Announcements
Microsoft
Many have already been speculating about Microsoft and the expected announcement of their new console, Project Scorpio. Said to be a 4K supporting mega machine, the official world announcement is set to happen at this years E3. The launch event is set to take place 11 June from 2pm PDT. Or 5pm EDT, and 10pm in the United Kingdom.
Sony
Sony, of course, have no major announcements to make about new consoles, but are sure to give a look at some future games set to be released on their already released PlayStation console. The Sony press conference will take place 6pm PDT, Monday, 12 June. That’s 9pm EDT, and 2am Tuesday 13 June in the United Kingdom.
Besides the two main hardware manufacturers, the main developers set to make an appearance include Electronic Arts, Bethesda, Activision, Ubisoft, and Nintendo. The E3 games expected to be showcased include; Doom VR, Fallout VR, God of War, Last of Us 2, Super Mario Odyssey, FIFA 18, Farcry 5, and many more.
Some key E3 2017 speakers include Jack Black, voice actor Troy Baker, and YouTube sensation MatPat.

God of War: Behind the Curtain
The God of War series was instrumental in introducing a new type of game to the world, and with God of War 4 on the horizon, fans are eager to hear more about the next instalment in the series.
Cory Barlog, director of the God of War series, talks about previous challenges in creating the series, and gives insight into the new game.
12:00 PM - 12:30 PM
Inside Bungie
Bungie CEO Pete Parsons gives a talk on his company, as well as the next big release Destiny 2. The event is moderated by WWE superstar; Big Show.
12:30 PM — 1:30 PM:
World Builders
Chris Hardwick gives keynote speech about creating new worlds in video games. He is joined by Neil Degrasse Tyson, an astrophysicist; as well as director James Gunn, Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford, and 343 Industries’ Kiki Wolfkill.
1:30 PM — 2:15 PM:
Assassin’s Creed
Next at E3 2017 Ubisoft gives a look at the new up and coming Assassin’s Creed game.
2:15 PM — 2:45 PM:
MatPat, known from the highly popular The Game Theorists channel on YouTube, talks about which games at E3 2017 are going to get focus from popular online streamers and YouTube celebrities.
